A figure-matrices question shows a small grid of figures related by a rule — something turns, grows, changes shading or moves. One cell is missing, and you choose the figure that completes the pattern from five options. It is a widely used format in school cognitive-ability assessments and measures non-verbal reasoning: spotting relationships without words or numbers.
Every question here belongs to one of fourteen teachable reasoning families, so your results show you exactly which kinds of rule you find easy and which need work.
What Stays the Same
Spot the feature that never changes while everything else moves around it.
Rotation
Track shapes as they turn, and pick the option with the correct new orientation.
Size Changes
